Thorpeness Golf Club and Hotel is a 36-bedroom hotel with a bar, lounge, and restaurant, situated alongside an award-winning 18-hole championship golf course. The estate also contains a Country Club with Tennis Courts, a Golf Shop, and a Training Centre for hotel staff.

The hotel is owned by its parent company The Hotel Folk, who also own several other hotels in Suffolk.

Reduced Carbon Footprint

The Golf Club and Hotel have a 100% renewable electricity tariff, (avoiding 58.8tCO e per annum).

Older lights are being replaced with more efficient LEDs on a rolling basis.
Waste is segregated and recycled.

Wider Environmental Management

The Golf Club and Hotel has an environmental policy and an action plan
The team works closely with Suffolk Wildlife Trust to support wildife and biodiversity on site.

As a Carbon Charter Pathfinder Partner, Suffolk Growth supported Thorpeness Golf Club & Hotel to join the Carbon Charter in Summer 2023, as part of its aims to reduce the emissions of Suffolk’s Visitor Economy.
