Suffolk Growth workshop: Recovery, restart and renewal for the Visitor Economy – towards an East of England Tourism Zone
Time & Location
About the Event
Suffolk Growth Partnership will be running a series of Strategic Development workshops and Innovation & Best Practice "twilight" workshops through 2021.
Background to this Strategic Development workshop: The impact of the pandemic has presented the visitor economy with major challenges for recovery. Alongside those challenges there are however longer term opportunities to reset and renew the sector. As the visitor economy prepares to reopen from lockdown, this workshop brings together key stakeholders within Suffolk to help shape the strategy and actions needed to sustain a growing and vibrant sector in Suffolk, and the East of England, including how we are working together as part of the Visit East of England Tourism Zone ambitions.
Our workshops are available to key stakeholders and practitioners working in the visitor economy, across public, private and community sectors. Our aim is to bring together individuals from the broad range of areas that contribute to our sector from travel, hospitality, retail and leisure, to culture, heritage and countryside to support sharing best practice, innovation, and development.
We also want to connect our visitor economy with the key strategic development areas that will support and enable sustainable growth of the sector, including areas of skills, transport, planning, environment and economic development.
Once you have registered for the event, you will a calendar invitation from Suffolk Growth Partnership and be added to our sign-up list. We will then send each registered attendee the agenda pack and any pre-reading materials a week in advance of the workshop.
We hope to see as many of you there as possible.
