National and Regional Tourism Planning

The Tourism Sector Deal was published in the summer of 2019, setting out how Government and industry would work together to boost productivity, develop the skills of the workforce, and support local areas to enhance and develop their local offer.

Embracing the key directions set out in the sector deal, the Government has published a Tourism Recovery Plan (link below) with closer alignment to the renewed economic strategy, ‘Build Back Better’.

​Suffolk Growth alongside Suffolk’s local authorities and DMOs have worked collaboratively with Visit East of England to prepare a Destination Management Plan Prospectus for the region (see link below).
