Suffolk Growth Partnership commissioned CAG Consultants to support us with developing an initial framework for green trade in Suffolk.
The findings from the consultancy research demonstrate that Suffolk is at the forefront of thinking about green trade and the role of supply chains within the wider circular economy. While there remain a number of difficulties with definitions, data availability and business awareness of the potential opportunities afforded by taking a strategic approach to green trade, there is a groundswell of ambition among Suffolk public sector partners to further develop work in this area.
The research was highlighted at the recent EELGA / Transport East Net Zero conference (Sept. 2023) held in Cambridge, with attendees interested in hearing about Suffolk’s innovative approach.
